I Didn’t Realize I Was That Disgusting

So, I happened upon this image:

Sweet, sweet tears

…and needed to look up the word for one of my own fetishes:  crying.  So I Googled “sexually aroused by crying” and clicked on the first result.  What I found was a bit… annoying.  As it so happens, “dacryphilia” (the term I was looking for) is “the 20th most odd and disgusting fetish sure to turn you off.”

We begin our list with dacryphilia, a relatively benign yet extremely inappropriate form of paraphilia (sexual arousal to shit that isn’t normal, like objects, events, situations, anything not human, etc) where a dude is sexually aroused by crying, or someone in emotional distress. Generally, the dominant asshole verbally or physically abuses their partner to the point of tears in order to get off.

The dominant asshole?  Asshole?  Fuck you, too, buddy.  Sure, there are people who really do and say terrible things to their partners.  But that’s not a fetish - that’s abuse.  What I do with Lorelei is consensual; she enjoys it as much as I do.  I don’t think that makes me an asshole.  I think it makes the guy who wrote that article an asshole.

Then I read the rest of the article.

Biastophilia and rape fantasy” are #2 on the list, more disgusting, according to these heirs to the Massengil fortune, than things such as coprophilia and dendrophilia.  I realize rape fantasy is a touchy subject to a lot of people, but I frankly don’t care.  Some people hear the word “rape” and shut their brains off, instead allowing some knee-jerk reaction to take over; they close their eyes, stick plugs in their ears, and start shouting “RAPE AM WRONG AND YOU AM WRONG LALALALAL EVIL BAD WRONG HATE!!!11!!1!eleven!!1!” and I frankly have no patience for people like that.

But I digress.

I also noticed, glaringly missing from this list was bestiality.  Seriously?  I and my (always eagerly consensual) dacryphilia is more disgusting than someone who gets their jollies sucking off a Golden Retriever?  Really?

I didn’t realize I was that disgusting.
